NAS Oceana is home to several F-14 and F/A-18 squadrons. This Master Jet Base puts on one of the best shows in the United States, having not only a show on Saturday and Sunday, but a show Friday Night and a Beach Blast on Saturday Night.
NAS Oceana is 6,000 acres and home to 10,000 Navy Personnel. Nine F-14 Tomcat fighter squadrons and eleven F/A-18 Hornet squadrons assigned to the Atlantic and Pacific Fleets are also based at NAS Ocean. They all came out to show off their pride.
Other performers this year included T-28 Trojans, Mike Goulian, F-117 Stealth Fighter, YAK-3, Careers in Aviation, Navy Legacy Flight and Bill Leefe.
Patty Wagstaff performed again during this years show. She is one of the top aerobatic performers in the world.
The F-16 East Coast Demo Team flown by Capt. Ed Casey tore up the air over Virginia Beach. After he teamed up with Dale "Snort" Snodgrass and Lee Lauderback for the Heritage Flight.

The P-3 Orion is a Sub Hunter which first flew in 1958. Today it still searches the water for Submarines. However it is also used to fight forest fires, search and rescue and to fight terrorism.
The Nimrod MR2 made a long trip over the pond to attend this years show. It's primary role is a sub hunter as well. However like the P-3 it is used for search and rescue.
Dale "Snort" Snodgrass once again had his hands full this year. He flew several times each day in two different aircraft. Here he flies the F-4U Corsair.
The E-2C Hawkeye is the eyes and ears of the fleet. The large dome on the aircraft is the Radar.
The British Red Devils and the Army Golden Knights jumped together. However the weather limited the amount of shots we were able to get.
Dan Buchanan has become a regular at this show. Dan is launched in the air by a truck and a tow line.
Due to really poor weather the good photographs of the Blue Angels were limited. The flat show was flown during the days we shot.
