The 2002 Neptune festival held at NAS Oceana was by far the best show for the 2002 season. It consisted of a wide variety of civilian and military performers. I would like to thank Troy Snead and all of the personnel of the Public Affairs Office for their wonderful hospitality.

Flying stated at 8:30 and ended at 4:00. That did not include four hours of the twilight show Friday, and the beach blast Saturday night.

Performer list was long and AWESOME! F-14 East Coast Demo Team, F-16 East Coast Demo Team, A-10 East Coast Demo Team (not too many other shows have three demo teams), four ship heritage flight, F-14, F/A-18, Fleet Fly-by, CF-18 East Coast Demo Team, Red Devils, Golden Knights, AH-64 Demo, Bill Leef T-6 Demo, Capt. Dale "Snort" Snodgrass in his F-86, & Corsair, Patty Wagstaff, Jim Leroy "Bulldog", Ian Groom, Sean Tucker, Dan Buchanan, Shockwave, Many Warbirds, P-3 Orion Demo, Rich's Incredible Pyro, The Canadian Snowbirds, and last but far from least the United States Navy Blue Angels.
