Wind, rain, sun, and more wind.  That about describes Niagara Falls 2001.  The morning started with a complete overcast and by 2:00 p.m. the sun came out and the Thunderbirds took to the sky.

The Northern Lights used to fly the Extra 300 S.  Today they have transitioned into the L-39 Albatross.  Currently the only American Demo team to use a jet.

From Atlantic City New Jersey an F-16 C cut through the clouds.  The 177 FW is home to the 119 FS the Jersey Devils.  The pilot who's name I do not know was born and raised in Buffalo NY.  He had a few reasons to show off-I think 1/2 the crowd was his family and friends.

The CF-18 East Coast demo team is based in Bagotville, Quebec.  It is located 124 miles north of Quebec City, Quebec.

Another friend from the North.  A CP-140 Aurora made a few fly-bys.  The American version is named P-3 Orion.

The 914th AW based out of Niagara Falls NY is home to a fleet of C-130 H aircraft.  They had three in the air at one time.  The last one did a cargo drop.

Other performers at the 2001 Niagara Falls Airshow:  HH-60 From Long Island, NY, A-10 From Battle Creek Michigan, A/V-8B Harriers from MCAS Cherry Point, Julie Clark and her T-34, and the Split Image Aerobatic Team with their Pitts.

Just in time.  That is what we said as the Thunderbirds took the runway.  The sun came out and the clouds disappeared.  They were able to perform their high show.
