After taking a year off the Empire State Aeroscience Museum put on Flight 2005.  Located in Schenectady New York the museum occupies 9 buildings on a total of 27 acres of land.  Adjacent to the museum you will find the home of the 109th Airlift Wing.  The 109th is the only active Air Force unit to utilize the Jet Assisted Take Off (JATO) on a regular basis.

Returning to Schenectady again this year was Gene Soucy and Teresa Stockes.  Gene flying his Showcat flew twice during the day.  Once to do his solo routine, the other with Teresa on the wings.

The Aeroshell Aerobatic Team made their first appearance at this year show.   Being this years headliner the team ended the days event. They fly four World War II AT-6 Texan trainers.  The team leader is Alan Henley, Mark Henley flies the right wing, Steve Gustafson flies the left wing, and Gene McNeely flies the slot.

Air Show audiences around the world all agree, all air shows need a jet truck.  Neil Darnell and his Chevy S-10 Jet Truck fits that bill.  His truck has over 12,000 horse power.

Misc. photographs from this year show.

Every year The Iron Eagles Aerobatic Team  becomes more and more popular.  This year their season began in Guatemala in February.  Less then one hour away from Schenectady these guys call this their home town air shoe.

Our hometown hero's provided us a look at the Jet Assisted Take Off or JATO.  The 109th fly a very unique aircraft.  This LC-130 has the ability to land and take-off on snow or ice.

Just east of Schenectady you will find the home of the 104th Fighter Wing.  This aircraft and demo was flown by Major Tom Kelly of Colonie, NY.
